"If you can't laugh at yourself, life's gonna seem a whole lot longer than you like." -Garden State (2004)
In all honesty, I never thought I would be here at URI this Fall. I went to my town's public high school (just 15 minutes away from campus) until the second quarter of my freshman year. At that point I transferred to a private college prep school because I wanted a more challenging curriculum. I have always been a dedicated student and my education has always been a priority. I love learning! So I went from a high school of about 1,500 students to a high school of 150. It was definitely a dramatic change but the Rocky Hill School was a place that I could challenge myself academically because it was so small but still competitive. I sometimes hate to admit this but my smallest class size during my four years there was 3 students and my largest class size was maybe 14 kids. While I was there I was very involved in the varsity field hockey team, student council, math team, and community service such as the Chariho Tri-Town Task Force. I have a younger brother who is going to be a junior at the Met School in Providence. I am a "pre-major" freshman and really had no idea what I wanted to study until I walked into Lippit Hall this semester. I think I have found my passion - education. What I will do with it, I am unsure but I know it will provide me with a world of opportunities.
F.Y.I. - I love camping, cooking, painting, and exercising. And i just adopted a kitten named Patchouli.
